To access communities on Fire Island, you must take a ferry or private boat from either Bay Shore, Sayville, or Patchogue. Click here for Ferry information.
To access communities on Fire Island one must drive to a ferry terminal on Long Island.
Bay Shore - For ferries to Kismet, Saltaire, Fair Harbor, Dunewood, Atlantique, Ocean Beach, Seaview and Ocean Bay Park you have to drive to 99 Maple Avenue, Bay Shore, NY 11706.
Sayville - For ferries to Sunken Forest, Cherry Grove Fire Island Pines and Water Island you have to drive to 41 River Rd Sayville, NY 11782.
Patchogue - For ferries to Davis Park and Watch Hill you have to drive to 80 Brightwood Street, Patchogue, NY 11772.
