Atlantique
Atlantique is a small community on Fire Island between Lonelyville and Robbins Rest. It boasts one the largest marinas on Fire Island (over 150 slips), and many people in Atlantique own boats. The marina also has basketball courts, handball courts, a children’s playground, and a small bay beach. There is a small food and drink establishment called “Session Stand” between the marina and the ocean. Atlantique’s central walk is almost exclusively sand, meaning everyone must trudge through heavy sand in Atlantique. There are no grocery stores in Atlantique and people must shop in either Fair Harbor or Ocean Beach. Atlantique also hosts a branch of the Appalachian Mountain Club.
